Summertime in India for travellers

To explore India during the summertime scorching heat for which it is renowned is not very optimum.The only places travellers usually opt to visit during this time are hill stations. The tempting seaside may seem like a viable option, but make no mistake...think twice before you get sun-burnt.
                             However, summer travel is not all bad - it does have some perks. Remember all those summer  vacations spent reading Famous Five adventures? Most families with school-going kids often plan for summer getaways to beat the heat!
                           Summer travel is much cheaper here, so that's another reason to not grumble about the heat. Hotels come at very reasonable prices (almost half) because demand is comparatively less this time around. This is the perpetual condition of the urban middle-class, craving luxury but unable to afford it. This gives  rise to tourism where an inferior form of the same experience is offered cheap.
                         And sometimes, long, sunny days and nights that go by in a blink is just what travellers want!
